Birth of the solar system and first organic compounds

  Picture

The earth was born about 4600 million years ago, along with the rest of the solar system. The first organic compounds were already formed at the beginning of the solar system. More than 400 organic compounds have been isolated from carbon-containing meteorites, including the amino acids essential to life. This meteorite is known as Allende. It landed in Mexico on the 8th of February, 1969.
