Myosoton aquaticum (L.) Moench, morph (Finland, Lohja, Skraatila, 2002). – Image: Harri Harmaja (scanned from dried specimen). – This plant, found in a small stand in moist eutrophic woods with some human disturbance, is deviating in having almost all its leaves sessile. Only the very lowest, soon withering small leaves are petiolate. In typical M. aquaticum (Caryophyllaceae), only the leaves of a few uppermost pairs are sessile.
