Notes on Veronica longifolia

Veronica longifolia L. (Scrophulariaceae), very narrow-leaved morph  (Finland, Lohja, Lieviö, 1993). Image: Harri Harmaja (scanned from dried specimen). This plant is densely hirsute with short, simple hairs; a node has three leaves. This morph occurred scantily in a flooded meadow by a little river, with e.g. Carex cespitosa and Ranunculus ficaria.
